A “Kick Ass Abs Workout”

A month ago, I started a 30-Day Yoga Challenge, taught by Erin Motz. The challenge is entirely free, suitable for everyone and is simply available on YouTube.

I like to experience the styles of different yoga teachers. I take particular note of the words they use and there are usually some descriptions that I resonate with or some alignment tips that help me to better my experience of an asana, and this helps my own practice and teaching to evolve.

Well, today was the last day of the challenge and I just have to convey to you all how much I have enjoyed it! Erin Motz is a great teacher and I’m really pleased to have discovered her. There were a few episodes that I will be repeating, particularly those focusing on flexibility around the hips and pelvis, and I feel my Downward Facing Dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana) and Cobra (Bhujangasana) have improved markedly from the constant repetition. However, one day really stood out for me and that was Day 4. This session, which is inspired by both yoga and pilates, claims to be a “kick ass abs workout”… and that it is! I have added it to my yoga playlist on YouTube but I think every other day may be enough for me at the moment – yep, it’s intense!

Enjoy…

Update (October 2016):
Erin recently re-launched her 30-Day Yoga Challenge and I have updated the video above accordingly. The intro and title has changed a little but the content is exactly the same. Enjoy peeps!

Sounds like something I could do during my work breaks at home. Not getting out a lot these days so this would be something I could do and not have to worry if I don’t get out that day!
